Chulu East peak

The Chulu East peak (6429m) is located above the Manang district in the Annapurna massif. The base camp is north of Annapurna.

An itinerary with magnificent views of: Annapurna I, II and IV, Gangapurna, Dome glacier, Dhaulagiri, Tilicho and Manaslu. You will meet the inhabitants of villages with authentic lifestyles bathed in Buddhist culture. The trail begins in the Manang and Jomson valleys. Then, it continues uphill in the Marshyangdi valley to pass the Thorong pass (5416m). The circuit therefore begins on the same route as the trek around the Annapurna massif. Climbing Chulu East is technical. It requires a good knowledge of mountaineering on glaciers, very good physical condition and endurance at altitude. A good part of the ascent on the glacier is done on a rope with your highly qualified guide. The ascent of the Marshyangdi river at high altitude is done on the slow pace of the guide but does not pose any difficulties.
